Applications of Titanium and Its Advantages
Common applications:
- Aerospace components such as engine parts and structural elements
- Medical implants and surgical instruments
- Automotive performance parts
- Marine equipment and chemical processing components
- Mobile phone frame. Such as the iPhone 16 Pro.
Main advantages:
- Exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, making parts lightweight yet durable
- Excellent corrosion resistance, especially in harsh environments
- Biocompatibility, ideal for medical applications
- High heat resistance, suitable for aerospace and industrial use
- Good fatigue resistance, ensuring long-term reliability
Titanium CNC Machining FAQs
We most commonly machine Grade 2 (commercially pure titanium) and Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), the latter offering excellent strength and corrosion resistance. Other grades may be available on request.
Yes. With proper fixturing, toolpath control, and thermal management, we can consistently hold ±0.02 mm on most titanium parts — including moderately complex geometries. For ultra-thin walls or deep features, tolerances may vary depending on design and machining setup.
Yes. We routinely achieve tolerances of ±0.02 mm or better on titanium parts, even for complex geometries and thin-walled structures.
We support bead blasting, anodizing (Type II and Type III), and passivation. Some finishes may depend on the specific titanium grade or intended application, such as aerospace or biomedical.
